Like you, we have sorely missed enjoying live music unfolding in the here and now, so different from all the recorded performances that we’ve been experiencing for well over two years. The inspiration, energy and social interaction of a live concert, felt keenly by both musicians and audience, simply cannot be replicated. And so we look forward immensely to welcoming you back.  Stay safe and well and we hope to see you in November.

About Us:

Music at Oakmont takes place in the beautiful northern California retirement community of Oakmont, in the scenic wine country of Sonoma Valley.  Chamber music concerts by world-class performers are presented during our season which runs from October through May of each year.  The series is managed by a small group of dedicated and expert Oakmont resident volunteers who are committed to providing the very best in live classical music for an affordable admission price.  The difference between ticket revenue and the actual cost of the performances comes from generous donors and corporate sponsors.  Concerts are open to all Oakmont residents and their invited guests.

Building on the vision of former Oakmont resident Bob Hayden, Music at Oakmont is a fully professional concert series, attracting top-rated players and their managements not only from the San Francisco Bay Area but also from major US and international cities.  Concerts take place in Berger Center in Oakmont, which boasts an excellent Yamaha concert grand piano.

Bios of artists and program notes  appear in the Oakmont News during the month before each concert, as well as in email notifications. If you would like to be added  to our Email list (we don’t share it with anyone), please contact Judy Walker by phone at 707 537-9266 or by Email at judywales@sbcglobal.net

Next concert:  January 13th, 2022
