About Us:

Music at Oakmont takes place in the beautiful northern California retirement community of Oakmont, in the scenic wine country of Sonoma Valley.  Chamber music concerts by world-class performers are presented during our season which runs from October through May of each year.  The series is managed by a small group of dedicated and expert Oakmont resident volunteers who are committed to providing the very best in live classical music for an affordable admission price.  The difference between ticket revenue and the actual cost of the performances comes from generous donors and corporate sponsors.  Concerts are open to all Oakmont residents and their guests.

Building on the vision of former Oakmont resident, the late  Bob Hayden, Music at Oakmont is a fully professional concert series, attracting top-rated players and their managements not only from the San Francisco Bay Area but also from major US and international cities.  Concerts take place in Berger Center in Oakmont, which boasts an excellent Yamaha concert grand piano.

Advertisements of each concert  appear in the Oakmont News during the month before each concert, as well as in email notifications.
